„I had been performing actual labour in my sleep. Dreaming inside the logic.“

The work combines recordings from former mining surfaces and digital renderings. It imagines the earth in the future – a second sun has been added and there‘s no night anymore. People beginn to displace rest for sleep, the first sleepless children are born.

While sleep was something private in the past, it has now become a political instrument within neoliberal exploitation. Through the permanent influence of light, time dissolves in its 3-part structure of past, present and future.
